Tongli

Tongli Ancient Town is located along thebank of Tai Lake and to the east of ancient canal with eight lakes surrounded.It is 80 kilometers away from Shanghai Hongqiao Airport in the east and 18kilometers away from Suzhou in the north. Tongli is characterized by a largenumber of architectures in Ming & Qing dynasties, small bridges and residencesof outstanding celebrities.

Shantang Street and Canal Cruise

Shantang Street is located in thenorthwest of Suzhou. It was one of the streets where trade and culture weremost highly developed in Ming and Qing dynasties. The renovated Shantang Streetbecomes the place which shows the essence of natural views and human landscapesof Suzhou, which is rated as “the miniature of old Suzhou and the window of Wuculture”. The Shantang Street parallels with the waterway. Along the streetstand a good many stores and halls with delicate and graceful styles.

Humble Administrator’s Garden

It is the best representative of Chineseclassic gardens, with a history of more than 500 years. Outstanding with thesmart use of ponds, this elegant 5.6 hectare (13.8-acre) garden shows you howtraditional Chinese architects and landscapers used pavilions, windingcorridors, ponds, rockeries, and trees to creat a relaxing harmony.

Master-Of-Net Garden Classical Night Garden Party

Master-Of-Net Garden is one of the fourfamous gardens in Suzhou, which has also won the title of world culturalheritage site. It is located in the southeast part of Suzhou City. Every yearfrom middle of March to middle of November, there are 8 night shows from 19:30to 22:00, each program will last for about 10 minutes and the guests can enjoythe shows whenever they join in.


When the night falls, with yellow lightsand scarlet palace lanterns outlining the pavilions and platforms along theriver, grace and elegancy can be found everywhere in this garden. Actors andactress in ancient theatrical costumes play folk music and folk dancing for theguests in the halls or pavilions, representing a fantastic scene of "Oneshow in one hall, shows changing while guests changing".
