Day 1: Beijing
Welcome to Beijing, the capital of China. Upon arrival, you’ll meet your guide who will assist you with the transfer to your hotel. Spend the rest of your day at leisure, adjusting to the new time zone and exploring the local area.
Day 2: Beijing
Embark on a full-day exploration of Beijing’s iconic landmarks. Visit the Lama Temple, a renowned Tibetan Buddhist temple, and the Temple of Heaven, a masterpiece of architectural harmony. Then, stroll through Tiananmen Square and explore the Forbidden City, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Day 3: Beijing
Today, you’ll visit the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall, famous for its beautiful surroundings. Afterward, you’ll explore the Summer Palace, a vast ensemble of lakes, gardens, and palaces in Beijing. The day includes a cable car ride on the Great Wall and a boat trip in the Summer Palace.
Day 4: Beijing to Pingyao
Transfer to Beijing Fengtai train station and board your high-speed train to Pingyao (G625, 10:38-14:25). Pingyao is a well-preserved ancient Chinese city, a UNESCO World Heritage site that offers a glimpse into China’s past.
Day 5: Pingyao
Today, you’ll explore the Family Wang Residence and Shuanglin Temple. The Wang’s Grand Courtyard is a masterpiece of Qing Dynasty residential architecture, while the Shuanglin Temple is renowned for its ancient Buddhist statues.
Day 6: Pingyao to Xi'an
Transfer to Pingyao Gucheng train station and board your high-speed train to Xi’an (D2563, 12:54-15:50). Xi’an, one of the oldest cities in China, is rich in historical relics and cultural heritage.
Day 7: Xi'an
Today’s tour includes the Terra Cotta Army, Big Goose Pagoda, city wall, and Muslim Quarter. The Terra Cotta Army is one of the greatest archaeological sites in the world, while the Muslim Quarter offers a unique blend of Islamic and Chinese cultures.
Day 8: Xi'an to Yangshuo
Transfer to Xi’an airport for your flight to Guilin. Upon arrival, you’ll transfer to Yangshuo, a picturesque town nestled among karst mountains and beautiful rivers.
Day 9: Yangshuo
Embark on a morning bike tour through a local village, followed by rafting on the Yulong River. You’ll also visit the Moon Hill, a hill with a natural arch that offers panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
Day 10: Yangshuo
A free day for you to explore Yangshuo at your own pace. You can take a leisurely walk along West Street, go rock climbing, or simply relax and enjoy the stunning scenery.
Day 11: Yangshuo to Ping'an
Today, you’ll transfer from Yangshuo to Ping’an, a peaceful village located in the Longji Terraced Field Scenic Area. The journey takes about 2.5 hours by car.
Day 12: Ping'an
Spend the day trekking through the Longji rice terraces. These terraces, built into the hillside, offer a breathtaking view, especially when they’re filled with water in the early season or turning golden in the harvest season
Day 13: Ping'an to Shanghai
Transfer to Guilin airport for your flight to Shanghai, the largest city in China known for its impressive skyline, historical landmarks, and vibrant culture.
Day 14: Shanghai
Spend the day exploring Shanghai. Visit the Bund, a famous waterfront promenade, and the Yu Garden, a classic Chinese garden. You’ll also explore the French Concession and ascend the Oriental Pearl TV Tower for a bird’s-eye view of the city.
Day 15: Departure from Shanghai
Your memorable tour concludes today. You’ll be transferred to Shanghai Pudong airport for your departure, taking with you the unforgettable memories of China’s rich history, culture, and natural beauty.
