This summer we had planned a 10-day self-drive tour to Xiahe, Langmusi, Songpan and Jiuzhaigou, but most of my colleagues had to change their plans to go to Yunnan because of the earthquake in Jiuzhaigou. However, my family continued part of this self-drive tour. My husband and I (Leena) with our daughter and little son drove more than 4000kms through 4 provinces, Henan, Shanxi, Gansu and Qinghai.

During these ten days, we had the pleasure of experiencing a grand and exquisite China that exceeded our expectations. At every turn, stunning landscapes and breathtaking views greeted us, turning our journey into an endless stream of beauty.

The best part of our trip was not limited to specific tourist attractions or landmarks. Instead, the picturesque scenery revealed itself along the road, displaying various sights that are unique to this region.
