To welcome and celebrate the upcoming Dragon Boat Festival (pronounced Duanwu Jie in Mandarin) on May 30th, the Charmission team recently spent half a day learning how to make colorful ropes. Traditionally, these ropes consist of five different colors and represent the colorful dragon that can protect people from demons and ghosts, as well as prevent illness and promote strength. It is customary to make these ropes for children to wear during the festival.
