The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology recently released the "Guidelines for Equipment Update and Technical Transformation in Key Industrial Sectors". It mentions that China will carry out large-scale equipment updates in 27 key industrial sectors, with various targets set for updates by 2027.

These 27 industries include the petrochemical industry, steel industry, non-ferrous metals industry, building materials industry, automotive industry, construction machinery industry, industrial robotics industry, machine tool industry, shipbuilding industry, etc.

Among them:

- By 2027, more than 80% of steel production capacity in the steel industry will complete ultra-low emission transformation.

- By 2027, in the building materials industry, more than 30% of cement, building sanitary ceramics, and glass fiber production lines, and more than 20% of flat glass production lines will have energy consumption better than benchmark levels.

- By 2027, in the automotive industry, production efficiency, energy consumption, environmental protection levels, and product quality of vehicles and components will reach a new level.

- By 2027, in the industrial robotics industry, the supply capacity of the entire industry chain will be significantly enhanced.

- By 2027, in the machine tool industry, the digital R&D design tool penetration rate and the key process numerical control rate for large-scale machine tool enterprises will exceed 90% and 75%, respectively.

- By 2027, in the shipbuilding industry, the construction efficiency of high-end ship types such as ultra-large LNG carriers and high-end car carriers will increase by 10%.
