First of all, we would like to thank all the old and new friends we met at WTM 2023, which gives us a lot of energy and optimism.
It was a very successful show for us as we had many more appointments with new clients than we had before Covid.
Then Wed like to share some good prospects for Chinas inbound travel with you.
1. WTM Global Travel Report

China is expected to remain the world’s top leisure destination in 2024 based on inbound leisure spending
In nominal dollar terms, demand in 2024 is expected to surpass 2019 spending.
2033 Outlook: The largest leisure destination, in terms of spending, will remain China (which should regain the top position in 2024).
China will benefit from the increased connectivity added to facilitate rapidly growing outbound demand. This capacity can also serve international inbound travel, while new capacity and attractions developed for the domestic market will also attract foreign visitors.
2. President Xi Jinping of China met with President Joe Biden at the Filoli Estate in San Francisco on November 15, 2023.
This meeting proposes to jointly promote people-to-people exchanges.
They will increase direct flights between the two countries, promote tourism cooperation, expand local exchanges, strengthen educational cooperation, and encourage and support more communication and exchanges between the people of the two countries.
We believe that the improvement of Sino-US relations will simultaneously promote and impact people-to-people exchanges between other Western countries and China.
As China will keep taking measures to strengthen inbound tourism, we believe Chinas inbound travel will be promising in 2024.
Lets hope for more good news to come.
Sincerely Yours
Angie Guo - Charmission Travel
