Why Responsible?

 

From the outset, Charmission Travel has been steadfast in its commitment to responsible business practices. This dedication is evident in our very name and logo: ‘Mission’ symbolizes an olive, and our Chinese name translates to ‘Olive Tree,’ reflecting our love for greenery and peace.

 

Charmission literally means: it is our mission to share the charm of China with the world.


Our Mission is to share the charm of China with people from all over the world in a sustainable and responsible way.

Our Vision is to deliver benefits to all relevant parties involved in our operations, including travelers, clients, staff, suppliers, local communities, the environment, and society.

 

The Evolution of Our Mission: Initially, our mission was somewhat implicit, but it has since become a clear guiding principle. We are privileged to collaborate with respected tour operators who are pioneers in responsible travel and to be surrounded by top DMCs from around the world who share our values and from whom we have gained significant insights.

 

The Genesis of Our Vision: The origins of our vision trace back more than two decades to my university days. In a writing class, I was tasked with drafting an English article on future aspirations. I wrote, “Whatever I will be doing, it should contribute positively to society and people.” It was only recently, upon rediscovering this piece in an old writing book, that I realized I had been guided by this principle all along. This principle was the driving force behind the establishment of Charmission – to cultivate a company culture that actualizes this vision. I am fortunate to have an exceptional team that shares this vision and has consistently worked alongside me.

 

Our Commitment to Responsibility: Being a responsible travel company is essential to fulfilling our mission and vision, which is why we remain steadfast in this commitment.

 

What We Do?


We conduct our internal operations with a dual focus on benefiting our staff and preserving the environment. We provide our clients with sustainable tourism options that foster mutual benefits and cultural exchange between travelers and local communities, while also striving to protect the local environment to the fullest extent possible.


Furthermore, we actively contribute to environmental and humanitarian initiatives, including substantial donations to the Green Fund, which is dedicated to afforestation efforts in desert regions.


Naturally, there is always room for improvement. We are dedicated to diligently advancing our mission and vision.
